Originally written as the theme song for streetwear designer Kerwin Frost's "Superstuffed" clothing line for Adidas, "The Sneaker Dance" follows Kero Kero Bonito's 2021 mini-album Civilisation, which was critically acclaimed in publications such as Pitchfork, NME, DIY and others. "We've known Kerwin for a little while and we were honoured to be asked to create this song," the band said.
