Add a touch of elegance to your home with this Murano Blown Glass Pear. This pear is handmade from glass cane and then blown into shape. The artist then heats the corresponding colored cane to create the “Macchie”—in this case it’s a turquoise pear with teal macchie (stains or spots) to paint spots onto the pear in molten glass. This Macchia or “stained” pear has the color added just before it is fired in a furnace and 24k gold foil is applied giving it a regal and gilded effect. This beautiful piece is sure to add a touch of luxury to any setting.
