A general formula for calculating downrod length needed is using the ceiling height in feet minus 9-feet. This will give you a recommended downrod length you might need. This formula is based on the fan-to-floor distance of 8-feet plus 1-foot for the dimension of the fan. In rooms with a low ceiling clearance, the fan blades should not be lower than 7-feet from the floor. In this case, a Hugger or Flush Mount ceiling fan might be needed. Designed for Indoor or Outdoor use, but the outdoor finishes are powder coated with a galvanized under-coating to protect the finish from untimely wear. 360003WH is 36-inches long and has a 1-inch outside diameter. 360003WH comes one per package.
