If you are looking for an economical Chiller, choose one of the b3-12a models. The b3-23a models have twice the length of the economical chillers and are the preferred models by most home brewers. If you need performance, we highly recommend using the b3-36a models. Remember that the length of the unit is most important for efficient heat transfer while adding Plates is generally to relieve pressure drop through the channels (with some added heat transfer). it's usually better to buy a longer unit than to get one with more Plates for the Sake of performance.
