The history of Hagi ware began when pottery from South Korea has been kiln as a master kiln of the Mouri region and producing fine tea pottery. It features the softness of the baked soil and its absorbency. It is fired in relatively short time with high fire, and leaves the soil flavor, so the texture of the product is soft and the soil is not baked very much, so it retains heat. Since it is absorbent, you can enjoy changing colors and scenery as it is known as "tea coakera" or "7-turn hagi". The hue of the hagi is created to blend with soil and glaze, so no two shades are exactly the same. Please note that there may be slight hues, differences in dimensions and volumes due to baking.
