The 1st Edition was released in 1997. This unique first edition has hang tags that read Steven Smith Stuffed Animals Inc. Brooklyn, NY 11236.
The later editions would have tags that read Liquid Blue. Each bear has a card with: the name of the bear, a Beanie Bear Collectible, 1997 GDM (which stands for Grateful Dead Merchandising) and created for kids ages 3 and up.
