FRANCIE DOLL BARBIE VINTAGE Rooted Lashes Bendable Legs. Original owner. She has Bendable Legs which still work, she can bend at the hips, she can turn her head and bend her knees; her sweet face is in great condition, possibly some loss of lip color on the lower lip. (Right leg does not hold the bend) I no longer have the earrings. Francie was my favorite so she was loved! My mother made beautiful clothes for her, see other listings. Her legs which are different type of plastic than the rest of her body show some wear and discoloration. Holes in feet original. She comes with her original swimsuit, which has some issues with some of the seams, but the new owner could quickly tighten those up. The image shows a vintage Francie doll, Barbie's "MOD'ern" cousin, likely from 1965. This doll is known for her slender figure, rooted eyelashes, and bendable legs. Francie was introduced to reflect the trends of the time and paved the way for Barbie's own makeover. Francie is 11.5” tall.
