Vintage Very Unique, Ornate, Decorative Danish (Denmark/Danmark) Silver Plated Cake/Pie/Pastry/Petit Four Server.
This heirloom server is silver-plated with the coat of arms of Denmark on the handle. Coat of Arms of the Danish Royal House from 1903-1948, and HM Kings Christian IX, Frederick VIII, Christian X, Frederick IX of Denmark. The Coat of Arms features enamel in jewel tones of ruby red and sapphire blue.
Axel Prip's Skefavrik (spoon factory) made this rare serving piece in Copenhagen, Denmark. Axel Prip's Skefabrik: Copenhagen, Denmark: founded 1924 by Axel Prip (b. 1864-d.1925) as a successor to Kobenhavens Skevabrik (Copenhagen Spoon Factory). Axel's grandson, John Prip, the famous Danish/American silversmith, apprenticed there from age 15. The lighthouse mark on the back, the letter P, and the "AP" monogram of Axel Prip identify the Maker and House.
