Title: "Gettysburg Battlefield" - This unique, splendid vintage image is from Gettysburg Battlefield, Pennsylvania USA, captured by my late father-in-law Professor Jean Cazemajou in 1957. In some ways it doesn't look too much different today! This was part of a nationwide road trip by my French wife-to-be and her parents at the end of a year spent working in the United States. The folks in this picture were random visitors to the park, unconnected to my family. This picture is part of a book my wife Agnès and I are putting together with the working title "Midcentury Road Trip: Images from a French Family's American Adventure in the 1950s." She was a child during this trip. This photograph represents my passion for heritage photography. The original photo by Jean is on a color film slide which I rescued and expertly scanned and restored with painstaking faith to the original. The art print, produced by hand by me, follows my principles of tender loving care outlined below. The edges of the picture show a portion of the original paper frame for the vintage color film slide. This artwork is available as an unframed art print. See "Production Method" below for details.
