vintage carved wood decorative Wall shelf

This solid wood shelf is probably from the 1940's or earlier. The sticker on the back says that it's made in Thailand. I though the wood might be oak but since it's made in Thailand I'm not sure. The underside has a hand carved shell center with a shield shape over that and large leaf on each side. The bottom edges of the carving are very dark giving it an ombre look. Probably age related oxidation. It measures 18 1/2" L X 6 1/8" H X 4 7/8" D. It shows wear constant with age. It has 2 inset hangers on the back. Ready to hang and add a special piece or 2 for display. I ship same or next business day.
