Is it shocking that folks wonder why staying in the HERE AND NOW seems difficult for us? We who move through the arduous journey of discovery, and truly must "work out" the acceptance of our past, which develops into the "sum of who we are now", so we can have a healthy future. As our process of rediscovery continues, what is there to say, we are an ever-evolving bunch, those of us, hoping or FORCED to confront our traumatic past. A past where "feel it to heal it" is taken to an entirely different level.Making sense of the trauma(s) of our past seems daunting. Walk with me, as we come to terms with our past. Pulling ourselves out of the "upside-down" world we reside in at times. Hand in hand, we can make the "about-face", turn and move in, I believe, the only direction possible if healing is to occur; laying all at Jesus' feet. Does this process help us walk straighter, less slumped, more wide-eyed with the wonder of His ways, and all the blessings He throws around like confetti, just waiting on us to parade through? For those of us that were psychologically or otherwise "messed with", we just take a while to come around to really, truly, sincerely soaking in the full magnitude of this God who so loves us, who chose us, who finds us blameless in his sight. Well, this is just a lot for us to wrap our heads around; this desire to feel His love clear down to the broken places, and never falter in that knowledge. Head knowledge verses heart knowledge sometime conspire against us, mislead us, and cheat us out of our TRUE HERITAGE. Together, let's power forward and remind ourselves, if God is for us, who can be against us? Read more
