Valterra 2101X PVC Gate Valve, White, 1-1/2" Inner Diameter, 1.9" Outer Diameter Unibody Valve, Slip w/ Gate Keeper

This type of slide gate valve was originally designed for the Pool & Spa Industry to hold higher pressures compared to the bolted versions. It is typically used to hold back Above Ground Pool, Hot Tub or Spa water while the filter is being changed or maintenance is being done on the pump but has many other applications. It has a one piece (body and fittings) UniBody configuration which is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It can be used in any application that requires less than 75 pounds per square inch (PSI) of working pressure and is in an easily accessible location as it is not repairable. Easy push pull operation; locks in the closed position and comes with a gate keeper to hold the valve open. These slide valves are sometimes referred to as “knife or guillotine” gate valves and are a great alternative to ball valves in low pressure applications since they are full flow and quick opening. This valve is designed for use with clean water. The handle is threaded for easy replacement – if you do so be sure not to damage the valve shaft. The Valterra 2101X Unibody gate valve has 1-1/2" Schedule 40 female slip/hub fittings with solvent cement glue traps to help prevent solvent from leaking into the valve seal area. The fittings receive 1-1/2" pipe. Its shaft is made of 304 stainless steel; the paddle material is polypropylene (PP); the seals are made of thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) for dimensional stability. All materials resist corrosion and mild chemicals. It has a working pressure rating of 75 (PSI) in both the open and closed positions. For throttling or mid-flow closure (closing the valve while water is flowing) the maximum pressure rating is 15 PSI. The maximum temperature rating for the 2101X is 167 degrees F (75 degrees C).
