Agnes Strickland with the collaboration of sister Elizabeth, completed this monumental 12 volume series between 1840 and 1848. The set contains about 5234 pages with much of the material coming from previously unpublished sources. The books are in good shape considering their age. Vol. 1,2,3,&7 are 2nd editions with corrections and additions. The remaining eight are first editions. Light wear on all covers. Foxing on outer edges of pages. Vol. 1 has writing on front page and back of title page. Vol. 7 pages before contents page are loose. For the student of British History this set is very readable.
