From a distance it looks like a vintage photograph. The colors are so strikingly accurate. I’ve seen a sky with those colors before. The haziness of the mountain in the background feels right for the distance. The mountain further away loses detail and becomes a silhouette. The vegetation in the foreground runs together in muted greens, just like in real life. The sandy shoreline seems exactly the right color. So much the artist gets right in this watercolor.
