Authentic vintage 1950s sweater guard featuring Morpho butterfly wings beneath domed lucite cabochons with a hand-applied Mount Rushmore design.
The iridescent blue wings shift color beautifully under light. Silver-tone metal clips joined by a short chain, designed to secure sweaters, capes, or shawls in elegant mid-century style.
A collectible piece of Americana and classic reverse-painted souvenir jewelry.
In good vintage condition. Regular wear from normal use (scratching/scuffing). There is some minor rust on the left attachment chain which I photo above.
