Vintage (1972) Rörstrand Sweden Limited Edition Julen Collector Porcelain Plate. This limited-edition Swedish Christmas plate, designed by Gunnar Nylund, features a blue and white depiction of a procession at Rättvik Church in Dalarna, Sweden.
Designed by Gunnar Nylund, Christmas Collectible Limited Edition Series, Cobalt Blue Decor Swedish Motif. It has holes on back if you want to hang.
This is a highly collectible Rorstrand "Julen" Christmas plate and is one in an annual series of treasured collectible cobalt blue Christmas porcelain plates designed by Gunnar Nylund (G. N.) for Rorstrand under the name of "Julen" (=Christmas). Each edition depicts Nils Holgersson in different folklore scenes of Sweden. These Christmas plate series were made between 1968-1996, with the Nils Holgersson theme from 1970 onwards.
This plate is 7 3/4" in diameter and is a rare find in great condition with no chips or cracks.
