Description
This vintage hand-finished relief plaque depicts Lord Zac (El Señor Zac), ruler of Bonampak, shown seated on his sacred bench awaiting the placement of his crown. The imagery is rendered in raised relief with rich blue, green, red, and yellow tones inspired by ancient Mayan iconography.
The plaque is freestanding and designed to be displayed on a shelf, table, or cabinet — it does not hang on the wall. The reverse label provides historical context and notes that the piece was hand-finished by local artisans and distributed through Dorfman’s Art Gallery as part of a numbered decorative art series.
