VINTAGE 1950s S&G Keramik Porcelain Rearing Horse Clock Brown Glaze West German.
Excellent vintage condition. The clock mechanism is intact but has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy as there is no key. The porcelain has one small chip on the horses left ear. The original S&G Keramik sticker is still present on the front base. Please see all photos for details.
The piece is made by S&G Keramik, a West German pottery company. The horse has a beautiful, glossy dark brown glaze that highlights its muscular form and dynamic pose.
The horse stands on a rocky base that houses a small, round clock with a classic analog face and gold-tone bezel. The original S&G Keramik sticker is still attached to the front of the base, confirming its authenticity.
