This is a rare, discontinued wooden-bodied fountain pen.
The wood is briar, a deciduous shrub of the heath family (Erica arborea) native to the Mediterranean coast. The burl, or gnarled root mass, of the plant, aged 25-100 years, is primarily used for materials like pipes.
The briar body is durable and hard. The comfortable feel and the luster that develops with use are also attractive features.
The nib width is medium.
I have confirmed that it writes without any problems.
