A very unusual hand made old Chinese ginger jar with lid. The hand painted shaded blue decoration features three double happiness symbols on either side with auspicious bats in-between the panels. The bats flying over a coin motifs are the traditional symbols for "happiness" and "prosperity".

Ovoid/round in shape, complete with lid that features three further bats. This is truely a very rare ginger jar in this style. Perfect condition with no chip/crack/damage. It measures 10" tall including the lid, and 8" wide at the belly.
