I happened to open my Japanese dance wardrobe and was looking for something, and I remembered I had an Oshima Tsumugi.
It's a mud-dyed, "tobi" patterned Tsumugi.
When I went to Amami Oshima to study mud dyeing and Oshima Tsumugi, I found a "tobi" patterned fabric I had been wanting for a long time and bought it.
It was from a weaving mill that specializes in "tobi" patterns, and I was introduced to them by a local Amami resident. I had it tailored in Amami.
I broke my leg and haven't had the opportunity to wear kimonos since. I'm listing it because I hope someone will love and wear it.
It's a truly beautiful kimono.
