Fab Art Deco wooden horse brooch . Very cute and quirky chap! Nice and chunky too. It is hand-made and has painted features. There is a hairline split in the wood across the neck - please see all photos. It is stable as it is reinforced by the metal clasp on the back of the photo. I think the split must have been there at the time of manufacture. Please look at the photos to see the split and the placing of the clasp. I am reflecting the split in the price - please only buy the brooch if you are happy with this condition. Looking at his expression, I get the feeling he is aware that all is not right with his neck!! Apart from that, it is in very good vintage condition. Would be fab worn on the lapel of a man's suit jacket, which is a popular trend these days, as a great way of personalising a formal dress code. It measures approximately 5.5cm or 2" wide and high.
