Unusual mid-century intaglio carved black glass mourning cameo scarf clip

A really unusual piece. Mid-century circa late 1940’s/early 1950’s this belonged to my maternal grandmother. It has been made in the style of a traditional Victorian carved mourning brooch but is a scarf clip. Featuring a beautifully carved jet black glass intaglio inverted central cameo surrounded by a gilded gold metal ornately framed setting. In good vintage condition with some tarnish/loss of plating. This is around 80 years old and will show signs of wear commensurate with age. The clip hinge is fixed firmly as you can see however the scarf ring does not “snap” shut - it could probably do with tightening. It is perfectly fine and can absolutely be worn as it is but I am mentioning in the interests of being thorough. I have only found one that is similar on line and that is priced at £75 so this really is priced to sell. It will be sent boxed. Box in photos is for display.
