This vintage brooch features an ornate silver tone closed filigree design with a central blue marbled glass cabochon surrounded by polished silver tone accent beads. The construction shows detailed floral and scroll work with articulated tassel drops on each side, giving the piece strong visual movement and a dramatic presence when worn.
The center stone has a marbled blue and brown appearance commonly seen in Czech style glass jewelry. There are several small open loops beneath the central section of the brooch. These appear to be part of the original design and show no signs that anything was ever attached.
The pin stem and clasp are intact and functional. Surface patina and wear are consistent with age and add to the character of the piece.
