Originally approached by Beatrix Potter herself, John Beswick Pottery began producing figurines of her classic characters in 1940. Sculpted to be meticulously faithful to her illustrations, each was hand painted with details that brought the pages to life.
From The Tale of Ginger and Pickles, about a shopkeeper cat and dog who go out of business extending too much credit to patrons. With a brown jacket and white apron and a pink book, he was modeled by Albert Hallam and produced 1971-1982. Approx. 4.5” tall. BP-3A backstamp. Made in England. No condition issues.
