Striking vintage fraternal medal brooch-pendant combination featuring a Maltese cross topped with eight-point star with radiating gilt rays and rich red and white enamel detailing. The central white star displays symbolic cross motifs commonly associated with Masonic and Knights Templar-style regalia, but Im not sure how this was used. Unusual construction, with the red and white sections stacked on the gold tone background and secured with a screw-down backing. On back is a traditional pin and also a loop at top for threading through a chain.

-- Good condition with just minor expected vintage wear and some small black spots to the finish -- no cracked or chipped enamel.
Nice vintage piece with a substantial, well-made feel and excellent presence.
