Wood shaft pen made with quilted maple.
Finished with lacquer coating, it features a wet-like gloss that cannot be achieved with oil or wax finishes. The wood grain also appears three-dimensional.

Hardware is available for both ballpoint pens and mechanical pencils. It can also be sold without hardware. In the case of no hardware, the price will be 3,000 yen OFF. KATO201 and 202 hardware are compatible.

Notes
■This pen is finished with the same paint as musical instruments. Therefore, the handling is the same as a lacquer-finished guitar, but I will mention it because I think many people are not aware of it.

・Dents
Lacquer is easily scratched and will dent if dropped or if a hard object hits it. The clip may dent the pen even with care. Please understand that this is the nature of the product.

・Chemical reaction
Lacquer can react with rubber products and chemical products such as thinner, leaving marks on the contact surface. Putting it in a pen case with other writing instruments may cause a reaction with the rubber.

・Cracks
Cracks may appear on the painted surface if there is a sudden temperature change. Also, cracks may naturally appear after using it for more than a decade, but we hope you will enjoy it as a characteristic of lacquer paint. Vintage guitars have these kinds of cracks, and new guitars that reproduce them are also on sale.

・Care
We recommend polishing with a non-silicone instrument cloth and a lacquer-compatible polish.
