Vintage Eileen Fisher Brown Boiled Wool Long Coat Size 2 Plus Minimalist

This is a vintage 1980’s Eileen Fisher women's long coat in a dark brown 100% wool fabric. I believe it to be boiled wool based on the feel - very soft and with nice drape and structure. The tag is specific to Eileen Fisher’s earliest designs in the 1980’s - rare to find. The coat features a hood, a full-button front closure with seven dark brown buttons, and two front patch pockets. It has a relaxed, oversized fit with drop shoulders and long sleeves. The size tag indicates “2” and measurements are provided in a chart in the listing photos. The interior is lined with a dark satin fabric. Visible signs of wear include some discoloration along the bottom hem. It appeared to be bleach, and I applied a spot dye treatment, which significantly blended the area. I also hand washed the coat in cool water and wool-safe fragrance free detergent, and allowed it to fully dry flat. It was gently steamed and lint rolled.
