This is a holster for the Type 14 Nambu pistol used by the Imperial Japanese Army in World War II.
It is made of rubberized canvas, not leather.
Leather is used in some parts, such as the clasp and the rim of the holster.
This rubberized canvas is a very durable material, resistant to moisture and abrasion, and was widely used in the Southern Front.
