Golden size W34
Pre-dyed black denim.
Manufactured in September 1987, this is an early piece with a paper tag.
Also, the button back stamp is 653, so it was made at the old No. 16 factory.
This pair is in good condition, with some fuzz still remaining.
The inner tag is also clearly readable.
This is truly the origin and pinnacle of Levi's black denim, the pre-dyed 80s. It's a must-buy item everywhere.
It will be depleted in 5 or 10 years, or maybe even sooner. This is undoubtedly the star of the next vintage boom.
I didn't notice it when I bought it because it was so carefully tailored, but the outseam has been taken in and tapered.
