Peter Fischli/David Weiss: Garten. A photobook by Peter Fischli and David Weiss (1946-2012), an artist duo from Zurich, Switzerland. This book documents, through photographs taken over a decade from 1987 to 1997, the gardens of flowers and vegetables they planted in various locations including Switzerland, Austria, and Germany. The photographs document the growth of the plants and encourage a reconsideration from an ecological perspective. The photos evoke a sense of the changing seasons, reflecting the sunlight and weather, though not to the same extent as in Japan. This book was published in conjunction with their participation in the Münster Sculpture Projects/Skulptur.Projekte (an art event held every ten years) in Germany in 1997.
