Rare Vtg James Mote Style Brass Lamp Base OR a candlestick

This is either a vintage James Mont style lamp component base or a candleholder.

It’s a heavy, sturdy, and beautiful brass table lamp base component or candlestick holder often described as being in the style of designer James Mont, featuring Chinese or Asian archaic motifs. This comes apart and was often used for oil/kerosene or transformed into an electrical lamp. Candleholders come apart for cleaning as well.
