This is a rare 1987 Japanese VHS release of the artistic anime masterpiece "Murasaki Shikibu: The Tale of Genji," directed by Gisaburo Sugii (director of Night on the Galactic Railroad).
Jacket (Front): There is visible age-related foxing (brown spots) on the white background and borders. Please check the photos carefully.
Jacket (Back): There is a Pony Canyon manufacturer sticker applied over the barcode area. A small handwritten date/note ("3/16/03") is present at the bottom right corner of the paper insert.
Case: Comes in the original black hard shell case. It shows typical shelf wear and light scuffs from long-term storage.
Tape: Visually inspected. The tape is clean and no mold was detected. (Note: As a vintage item from the 80s, minor video or audio noise may occur during playback).
Format: NTSC-J (Japan). Works on US VHS players.
