Great Condition For Its Age. Only Hair Brush Bristles Shows Minor Wear.
This is a vintage Art Deco celluloid vanity set, from the 1930s-40s, in a jade or lime green color.
It includes: A hand mirror: A hairbrush: A dresser tray, that features a lace doily with a floral rose motif sandwiched between two pieces of glass and held in with a celluloid frame: A rectangular powder box: Two small glass jars in celluloid containers with lids for make-up and creams: A picture frame with an easel hinged support that folds out from the back to hold the frame upright: The back has felt on card board. The picture frame has a picture of a young boy. His clothes and shoes looks like from the 1930s.
These sets were made from early celluloid or Bakelite plastic and feature the distinct geometric and streamlined aesthetic popular during the Art Deco period.
