This is a vintage hand-blown orange glass apothecary jar with a lid, made by Takahashi in Japan.
The jar is from the 1960s or 1970s and is known for its bright orange or "amberina" color.
It is a popular mid-century modern collectible.
The lid on some versions (including this one) is known to glow under a black light due to the use of cadmium in the glassmaking process.
The jar was often sold by Counterpoint San Francisco.
