This classic KELTY DAYPACK, a bag that can be called a history of daypacks, reproduces the original shape released in the 1970s while incorporating improvements for ease of use. This version is a smaller size with leather added to the bottom, making it the HD specification.

・What is HD specification?
HD stands for Heavy Duty. It is said to have originated when American students reinforced the bottoms of their daypacks to carry textbooks.

This VINTAGE DAYPACK HD2 uses suede leather to reinforce the bottom.

・Retro appearance
It has a triangular shape, commonly called a teardrop shape, but it is designed to look a little narrower than the standard DAYPACK.

KELTY's DAYPACK has a thin top gusset and a thick bottom gusset, making it look triangular even from the side, which further emphasizes its shape.

Thanks to this, it has a beautiful form that doesn't make you feel the weight even when packed full, which is popular.

・The fabric uses 500D (denier) Cordura nylon made by Invista.
Nylon is a fabric with excellent tear strength and abrasion resistance, and it is characterized by a softer feel compared to polyester.

In addition to the water repellency of nylon itself, it is also polyurethane coated on the back, which prevents water from entering, although not completely.

The fabric attached above the zipper, often said to be "difficult to open," is a rain flap to prevent rain from entering through the gaps in the zipper.

・The zippers are custom-made YKK zippers, which are highly regarded worldwide, and open and close very smoothly.

・The shoulder harness has 10mm EVA.
EVA is a material called ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resin, which is excellent in impact resistance, elasticity, flexibility, and durability, and greatly reduces the burden on the shoulders.

・There are two main storage compartments.
