The RW-8180, released as a 1999 limited edition, is the first khaki green mock toe model developed jointly by Japan and the US. It features deep, dark green leather with a good texture. Due to the limited leather, it is slightly thicker than regular leather, and the material used fits the foot very well. The laces are standard work boot laces. The contrast complements the moss green leather. This is a valuable discontinued model that Red Wing released as a limited edition!
Even the 2014 re-release model is highly supported, making the original Irish Setter RW-8180 a valuable item. This is an Irish Setter with the early square dog tag, which is considered to have the best leather quality. The square dog tag was only attached to the early models, as the embroidered feather tag was switched from the middle of 1999.
The size and model number stamps on the tongue and inside were discontinued around the end of 2002.

Despite the years, there are no major scratches, and the leather condition is quite good, with only slight wear on the soles.
The color of the Traction Tread sole gives it a nice vintage feel.
