Adorable vintage, hand painted, ceramic salt and pepper shaker set from Japan, 1950s or 1960s MCM novelty design. Boy in blue and girl in red and yellow leaning in for a sweet kiss. Designed to sit / perch on the edge of a shelf or display stand. Appx. 4" high (total, not seated). Great addition to an S&P shaker set collection or a unique Valentine's Day gift!
Excellent condition with no paint loss, no chips or cracks. Plastic stoppers intact. Japan sticker on girl and remnants of original price tag on both. Girl has a rattling sound when shaken but didn't open to investigate.
