This is a beautiful example of combined Indonesian Sasak Art Pottery and weaving. Sasak is the name of the ethnic population who live on Lombok, Indonesia. The clay that the Sasak people use to make these pots comes from the local hills and these pots and clay bowls are usually made by hand.
They are quite beautiful and it amazing that they have also combined weaving with the pottery.
The bowls were first fired, then woven and this was the result.
MEASUREMENTS: This bowl is 10" x10" x5" and is still in wonderful vintage condition. It would look wonderful in any home.
