Authentic vintage French cast iron agricultural prize plaque, dated 1878 from Ambrieres-Lassay. This heavy, decorative plaque was awarded for '1er Prix' (First Prize) at the Comice Agricole in the beef cattle category (Bovins de Viande).
Features a deep red finish with raised gold or bronze-toned lettering. The plaque includes an ornate crest at the top with a pre-drilled hole for easy hanging/mounting.
