Hello, you're looking at an antique California Fractional Liberty Coin stick pin/brooch. It is one-sided and gold-plated. It is hard to see from the photo, but it is dated 1872, and there are 13 stars in a semi-circle to represent the colonies.
It is mounted on a stick pin with silver-toned solder and measures just over 2 inches.
Condition-wise, it does show its age. It has tarnish/discoloration, and the pin section bends in the center.
