This female figure is a mural painted on the north side of the western wall inside the stone chamber of the Takamatsuzuka Tomb. The mural was painted on the surface of soft cut tuff stone with a thin layer of plaster, and was on the ceiling and all four walls of the chamber, but there are traces of stone robbery and it has been destroyed, so the mural cannot be seen.


This female statue is truly beautiful, with the colors and shape of the figure well preserved.


The colorful striped skirts worn by the deceased are striking, with long tails. The figure on the far left has a fan-shaped head, and the third girl is holding a long stick with a curved end. It looks like a baseball batting stick, but it could be something like a wish-granting charm. Or it could be a kind of jade staff, but in any case, it seems likely that the deceased was a person of considerable nobility. All four have full faces,
