Authentic vintage silk chiffon nightgown from the late 1930s–early 1940s, thoughtfully reimagined as a bridal dress.
Dress features a softly draped silhouette, empire waist with delicate sheer detailing, and a flowing bias-cut skirt. Restoration was completed with care to preserve the character of the original garment while allowing it to be worn as a dress.
Restoration: Custom lining added to the skirt for wearability. Original satin ribbon hem replaced. Original silk flower buttons replaced (due to age) with refined dress buttons. Bust lightly lined for opacity and left unpadded. Original satin ribbon strap details replaced. Center waist panel and back intentionally left sheer.
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with subtle signs of age consistent with the era; not noticeable when worn. Worn once for a bridal shower.
Era & Origin: Circa late 1930s–early 1940s. Maker: Kristina Handmades.
Sizing: Original tag reads size 34. Worn by a size 2 with a softly draped fit.
