Estimated to be from the 1940s, this is a black moleskin jacket.
While V-pocket examples exist, this one features a closed collar. It's often said these were worn for high-altitude work. The collar is a beautiful, rounded shape.
The fabric has a slightly glossy black finish. Although not deadstock, it's in very good condition.
