ABOUT ALEXIS :
I design and make carefully handcrafted accessories in my small workshop in the heart of Barcelona to highest of standards. Production is severely restricted, as I personally make all articles, and this ensures that there is no compromising the quality.
The great majority of the leather is tanned here in Spain in a town called Igualada, very close to Barcelona. I have visited the tanneries personally checking out the supply chain. I also make a large percentage of my own metal hardware. The metal is poured in a foundry on the outskirts of Barcelona and is hand polished in my workshop.
I use traditional techniques like that of the hand sewn saddle stitch with two needles employing French linen thread. I dont use cardboard to reinforce weaknesses or make volume. Only leather is introduced between layers.
