Condition: Pre-owned, vintage condition. The lace art itself is in excellent condition under glass. The wooden frame shows cosmetic wear, specifically scratches and dings on the corners. Please review the close-up photos to assess the frame condition.

This is a beautiful piece of traditional Slovak folk art. It features a detailed depiction of a wooden church created entirely out of white handmade bobbin lace (Paličkovaná čipka) against a dark background.
Translation of the Back Label:
* Technique: "PALIČKOVANÁ ČIPKA" = Bobbin Lace.
* Title of Work: "Drevený kostolík z Kožuchoviec - prenesený do Košíc" = "Wooden church from Kožuchovce - transferred to Košice".
* Artist: Viktória Šamelová.
About the Subject:
The church depicted is a famous wooden Greek Catholic church built in 1741 in Kožuchovce. It was dismantled and moved to the garden of the East Slovak Museum in Košice in 1927
