This vintage salt and pepper set is a classic example of Bolesławiec Polish pottery, world-renowned for its durability and hand-crafted artistry. It features the iconic "Peacock Eye" (Pattern 8), a traditional motif that has been a staple of Polish folk art since the 19th century. Each piece is hand-stamped using sea sponges and meticulously finished with a lead-free glaze, resulting in vibrant cobalt blue, emerald green, and ochre tones.
This set includes two shakers and a matching oval underplate/tray, all made from high-quality Silesian white clay. The dense stoneware construction makes it safe for the dishwasher and microwave, though its beauty makes it just as suitable for display.
Condition: Pre-owned in excellent vintage condition. No chips, cracks, or heavy crazing. Original rubber stoppers included.
