This is a very old spun cotton candy container in the form of a standing stork, made in the early 20th century. The body is formed over a lightweight structure with applied spun cotton, painted details, and thin wire legs. The opening for candy is hidden under one wing, as shown in the photos, which is typical of early European holiday candy containers. A charming and scarce survivor with wonderful age character.
