Obsessed with this vintage Dawn Joy Fashions peplum top in bright red. Materials/size tag has been removed but it fits like a small or even extra small and the fabric feels like a poly cotton blend with some stretch. Slight wrap effect, oversized triangular red button secures the front, with a pleated draped ruffle (longer in the back), creating a fit n flare silhouette. Subtle pleating on the shoulder seams, short cap sleeves.
The fabric shows some light wear, interior seams have some pilling. There is a small hole on one shoulder seam—hard to see. If you’re gifted with a sewing machine the shoulder seam could perhaps be taken in a 1/4” to fix this.
Estimated 1980s era, though this brand was around for part of the 70s and into the 90s too.
