Traveling Man Treasures is selling this pair of replica 1965 NYC Public Library Lions made by Alva Studios. They are hand-cast in a durable blend of marble powder and museum-quality resin, and are in good condition with no serious issues for being 61 years old.

These New York Public Library (NYPL) lion bookends, are licensed replicas of the iconic marble lions "Patience and Fortitude" that flank the entrance to the library's Stephen A. Schwarzman Building. The original lions were nicknamed "Patience" and "Fortitude" by Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia during the Great Depression, to embody the virtues New Yorkers needed to get through hard times.
